During investor onboarding, you build your qualified investor base while ensuring each investor meets the legal and technical requirements to participate in your asset offerings.
Process flow diagram
The diagram below shows the basic workflow for onboarding an investor:
Process steps
The investor onboarding process involves the following steps:
1
Market your asset
Attract potential investors through your marketing channels and distribution networks (activities outside our platform).
2
Create investor record
Enter investor information into the platform when they express interest in your offering.
As we don't require investor personal information - entered information can be as simple as reference ID in your internal system.
3
Verify investor record
Complete compliance checks through your team (KYC, sanctions screening, qualification assessments based on your regulatory requirements) and mark the investor as verified.
4
Collect wallet information
Obtain the investor's blockchain wallet address for the relevant network and attach it to their investor record.
5
Verify wallet ownership
Confirm the investor controls the provided wallet address. Depending on your regulatory requirements, you may need formal proof of ownership. Regardless of regulations, each wallet must be verified before it can be used in investment processes.
Once these steps are complete, the investor is ready to participate in your asset offerings. The following sections provide detailed guidance for each step and implementation requirements.
