# What is asset distribution?

Once you've configured your asset structure and issued it on the blockchain, you can begin the distribution phase. During the distribution phase, you qualify investors and distribute asset tokens through primary market sales.

Asset distribution involves two main processes that can run in parallel or sequentially depending on your approach:

* **Investor onboarding:** You build a base of qualified investors through verification processes that depend on your regulatory landscape - including KYC verification, compliance checks, wallet verification, and investment qualification assessment. This ensures investors meet the legal requirements for your jurisdiction and can technically receive your tokens.
* **Asset subscription:** Qualified investors submit purchase orders, complete the necessary documentation and payments, and receive tokens in their wallets. This completes the transfer of asset ownership or economic rights to investors based on their executed agreements.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://taas-docs.stokr.io/asset-distribution/what-is-asset-distribution.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
